Having a family full of musicians, Lady AK, one young successful Ukrainian female dnb DJ, also known by her first name Alla, has built a strong passion and respect for music ever since she was born. Listening to "Steve Marcus", "Queen", "Bach" "Stevie Wonder", "Michael Jackson", and even sounds of classic rock band such as "Yes" with her parents, Alla has always noticed how they enjoy every beat of the songs. At the age of 4, Alla joined Kiev’s Music School #4. There she learned piano, solfeggio, joined choir, and studied theory, history and literature of music. Alla's passion for music made her very confident when she performed in front of hundreds of people at such young age. She loved every moment of it and that made her realize music is one of most important things in her life.

Growing up in the 80s, popular electro and hip hop music quickly became Alla’s favorite. As Alla got older, she continued to explore dance music like "La Bouch", "Dr.Album" and "Mr. President" but it wasn’t until Alla’s discovery of "The Prodigy" at age ten that her obsession with electronic music really began. Alla started collecting every tape by "The Prodigy" that she could possibly find. After discovering such an unbelievable style of music, she started doing research on producers with similar styles, such as "The Future Sound of London", "The Orbital", "The Crystal Method", "Chemical Brothers", "Robert Miles", and "Goldie", who became her heroes of electronic music.

Alla and her dad moved to Canada at age 14. She discovered that most people didn’t listen to electronic music, which was very disappointing. However, at age 16, after couple years in search of others Alla finally found friends, who have same passion for music. After her mutual friend found out she has been involved with music for so many years, he taught her the essentials of mixing, which got her totally interested to spin. Later that year (1999), she got her first pair of "Gemini" decks which also came with 50 random records. Unfortunately living alone at that age was hard, and about half of a year later she had to give them up for rent.

In September of 2005 Alla’s old roommie gave her a pair of CDJs and a mixer for her birthday. That totally encouraged her to get into djing more serious. Now being able to afford more things, it only took her few weeks to quickly save up some money, and get herself a pair of Technics. Alla quickly filled up her collections with massive amount of DnB records. Her vinyl collection consists of Liquid Funk, Jump Up, and Tech step/Dark DnB.

Lady AK is now very well known female dj in Vancouver. She played dozens of shows all over British Columbia. She recently became a resident of "The Jungle Room" in Victoria (Vancouver Island). In last few months she played along side with dj/producers such as Dillinja, Lemon D, Hive, Kenny Ken, Third Eye Tribe and many more... Her collection contains many different styles of DnB to create proper atmosphere for the crowd. Her main purpose is to bring quality drum n bass music to dance floors and to steer the mood of the crowd with music she plays.

Also, Lady AK is concentrating on production. Her producing interests began after working on a track together with AAA called "2 Hands", and now created a stock of her own ideas. She also did vocals for track called "Love It" which was produced by Dungeon Crew (UK). She is currently taking part time courses on music production and recording. Watch out for upcoming tunes in the near future!
